Contribution à la commande robuste de systèmes à relais et sa mise en œuvre expérimentale : Application aux convertisseurs de puissance DC-DC

Abstract : This thesis is dedicated to the design and the implementation of a robust control law for uncertain relay systems. Various approaches have been proposed for the design of stabilizing switching rules in the literature under the assumption that the equilibrium point is perfectly known. However, uncertainties prevent those results to be implemented in most practical cases. Here, to cope with model uncertainties, a dynamic controller is introduced in the design procedure which is based on the existence of an exponentially globally stabilizing continuous state feedback controller. Asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system, as well as zero steady-state error on the controlled output, are proven. Besides, under certain conditions, a constructive method to compute the gains of the controller parameters is provided using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI). The proposed strategy is then applied to a parallel interconnection of DC/DC converters. For this system, an extensive discussion is offered on specific difficulties of ill-conditioned matrix inequalities. The experimental validation of our approach is carried out using a user-programmable Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). Finally, a comparison with Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) approaches is presented to put in light the advantages and drawbacks of each strategy.
