Les analyses coopératives du travail pour éclairer les effets de l’activité des professionnels de l’éducation

Abstract : Places of formal education, such as the secondary schools of the French Ministry of Agriculture, constitute both work situations and educational situations. High stakes are afoot here for future generations without the different actors necessarily getting along. A review of a total of fourteen years of research rooted in the fields of ergonomics and education science has led to specifying the levers for a research project. The general conceptual framework of work analysis based on the “double regulation theory” developed in ergonomic psychology is still used. However, it is refocused on a specific aspect of "performance", namely the effects of the activity of the professionals on the "beneficiaries". In the field of education, the question of the effects of the activity on the beneficiaries appears too crucial to be neglected and too multifaceted to be grasped by the professionals in education alone. So, how do we apprehend it? The work analysis methods (direct and indirect extrinsic analyses, direct and indirect intrinsic analyses) already tested by the author with several actors (teachers, students, school principals) are repositioned in favor of a more cooperative approach to research. Cooperative work analyses are defined as involving the actors in the choice of work analysis methods and issues. In particular, they integrate the development of video-learning artifacts centered on the analysis of the work of school principals. The scientific project thereby describes the ambition to develop artifacts which enable professionals in education to shed light on the blind spots in their work through cooperative analysis. These cooperative work analyses thus help to elucidate the effects of the activity of professionals in education on their "beneficiaries" in order to improve the quality of life in educational institutions.
