The objective of this work is to provide a mathematical proof of time irreversibility on the ground of indeterministic motion. The starting point of this approach is the formulation of a mathematical definition of time implementing a widely accepted old idea associating time with movement or change, establishing a univocal link between time and trajectory of motion. Then time irreversibility emerges inevitably from the multiplicity of paths of indeterministic and unpredictable random dynamics. A measure of time irreversibility is proposed to characterize the time arrow pointing in the direction of increasing dynamic randomness and path uncertainty.
