Joint maintenance scheduling and routing optimization for geographically dispersed production systems
Résumé
We develop a joint optimization between maintenance planning based on dynamic grouping approach
and maintenance team routing for a geographically dispersed production system (GDPS). First, the
interactions between the maintenance planning and routing scheduling are analyzed and formulated. A joint
implementation of Local Search Genetic Algorithm (LSGA) and a new maintenance routing algorithm based
on Branch and Bound (BAB) is then proposed to solve the joint optimization problem. The uses and advantages
of the proposed joint optimization approach are illustrated through a numerical example of a GDPS consisting
of fifteen components located in five different sites.
