A damage model for concrete beams in compression
Résumé
A usual class of phenomenological ‘‘1d’’ damage models is revisited: starting from experimental observations showingthat the Young’s and tangent moduli evolve linearly during a compression test on concrete, an appropriate expression forthe damage threshold is obtained, which differs from the usual ones. The linear variation of the moduli with respect to thestrain variation allows to simplify the incremental equilibrium equations and to improve the accuracy of the simulation.
