Dependence of the magnetostriction of magnetic rheological elastomers on temperature
Résumé
The magnetostriction of composites consisting of a non-magnetic matrix, randomly filled by ferromagnetic particles is measured as a function of temperature. The magnetic property of the particles and the mechanical property of the matrix are both dependent on temperature. Extracting the thermal expression of the magnetic stress and recording the composite mechanical stressstrain response allows us to predict the magnetostriction thermal behavior of the composites. © 2012 IOP Publishing Ltd.
