Static and dynamic analysis of double-slope profile relief on high-contact-ratio spur gears
Résumé
High-Contact-Ratio (HCR) spur gears have received much attention particularly in aircraft applications because they can provide smoother operating characteristics with no axial force (as is the case when using helical gears) and an effective means of reducing tooth loads. The objective of this paper is to exploit some analytical results to investigate and illustrate the properties of double slope profile relief in HCR spur gears in terms of transmission error fluctuations and dynamic tooth loads.
