LUIT: Language - a Unified and Integrative Theory
Résumé
LUIT is a Linguistic theory based on crosslinguistic empiric data. It shows the biological nature of language in all the domains in which itys dynamics works - ontogeny, phylogeny, creologeny, diachrony, synchrony, borrowing. The points studied include into-prosody, non-person, deixis, taboo, focalisation-topicalisation, iconicity, the emergence of the secondary category verb. It shows that interaction which becomes interlocution is at the source of discourse, whih is at the source of grammar. It is shown that pragmatics primes over grammar and that sub- (not supra-) segmentals, namely into-prosody, overrides segmental phonology.
