Discursive particles in Hindi: from Grammar to Discourse

The conference aims at linking syntactic studies and discursive /enonciative devices. The case study of Hindi "to" shows that the meanings of the grammatical word (as a coordinator and as a correlative) is not totally disconnected from the meanings and functions of the discursive particle, which can be a topic particle when it has scope on the first phrase in the sentence and an argumentative particle when it has scope on the whole sentence.
L'intention est de lier les études syntaxiques à celles de phénomènes discursifs et énonciatifs. L'étude de cas de "to" en hindi montre que les sens et fonctions du mot grammatical (en tant que conjonction de coordination et corrélatif) ne sont pas totalement déconnectés de ceux de la particule énonciative, qui peut être marqueur de thème quand elle porte sur le premier élément de la phrase et particule argumentative quand elle porte sur l'ensemble de l'énoncé.
