The “Pays de Bitche”, located in the north-east of France in the department of Moselle, is characterized by its forest cover. The Observatoire Hommes-Milieux "Pays de Bitche" is currently studying the energy trajectories of its inhabitants in order to grasp the social, cultural, economic and ecological dynamics of the territory. Among the multiple modalities of energy resources, wood remains a central value charged with powerful identity and symbolic issues.

Le « Pays de Bitche », situé au nord-est de la France dans le département de la Moselle, se caractérise par son couvert forestier. L'Observatoire Hommes-Milieux "Pays de Bitche" » étudie actuellement les trajectoires énergétiques de ses habitants de manière à saisir les dynamiques sociales, culturelles, économiques et écologiques du territoire. Parmi les modalités multiples des ressources énergétiques, le bois-énergie reste une valeur centrale chargée d’enjeux identitaires et symboliques puissants.
