Étude 3D in-situ de la propagation de fissure de fatigue avec effets de surcharge dans un alliage AlSi

Abstract : This article deals with the quantification the effects of overloads on the growth of small 3D fatigue cracks in a metallic alloy. The combined use of synchrotron tomography and digital volume correlation make it possible to compute the displacement fields around the crack. It is then possible to extract values of the stress intensity factor along the crack front, describing the stress state in that area. The first results obtained with this method are presented in this article.
