Le philosophe médecin : une réforme de la praxis philosophique ?

This paper studies the meaning of the comparison between medicine and the philosophical activity. We try to demonstrate that this metaphor can be understood as a new comprehension of the traditional links between theory and practice, throughout the influence of the body, the critique of philosophical idealism, and the question of health, which leads to the genealogical investigation. However, every metaphor has its own limit. The other aim of this paper is thus to analyze the (positive) limit of the medical metaphor. This limit can be identified precisely as its capacity to say the philosopher’s praxis for the creation of values. This can help us to understand the many faces of the philosophy of future.
