Le contexte géologique de la grotte Cosquer : le karst des calanques

Abstract : The Cosquer cave is intimately linked to the geological history of the Calanques limestone massif and to the sea level variations. Originally, the limestones are carbonated marine sediments, which will then evolve, fracture, be dissolved, to create a particular landscape and voids large enough for man to explore the subterranean side of the earth, this is the karst.
