Experimental particle’s shapes reconstructions from their interferometric images using the Error-Reduction algorithm

Abstract : The Error-Reduction algorithm is tested to reconstruct the exact 2D-shape of irregular rough particles from their experimental interferometric images. The particles tested are “programmable” particles generated with a digital micromirror device. The method is first applied to centrosymmetric particles, and then to non-centrosymmetric particles where the twin image problem brings additional difficulty.
