Different Approaches to Mid-Valent, Paramagnetic Half-Sandwich Complexes of the Heavier Group 6 Metals
Résumé
The synthesis of deceptively simple carbonyl-free, mid-valent half-sandwich Mo and W compounds containing mainly phosphine, halide, and hydride ligands actually involves a number of complications requiring several tricks or synthetic detours to be overcome. The stability of some of the target systems also necessitates particular synthetic conditions.
