Abstract : Young teachers in initial training in INSPE (National Higher Institute of Teaching and Education) mostly belong to the so-called“digital native generation and have followed, during their curriculum, courses on Media and Information Literacy (MIL). However, not all of them have the same relationship to media and few have been engaged in MIL during their first years of training. Through three research projects focusing on representations and pedagogical practices of young teachers, we question the needs for continuous training concerning Media and Information Literacy. We particularly emphasize the importance of considering personal experiences with media and information, which are based on everyday digital practices.
