Stability and instability of traveling wave solutions to scalar balance laws
Résumé
In the present contribution we discuss the dynamic stability of traveling wave solutions-including constant equilibria-to first order scalar hyperbolic balance laws. Our discussion is based on the recent works of the author and L.M. Rodrigues. Our aim here is to provide an overview of the results therein in a homogenized framework as well as key ingredients of the proofs.
