Characterization of Sandwich Beams with Shear Damage by Linear Vibration Method
Résumé
The purpose of this work is the study of the dynamic behavior of sandwich beams with shear damage. The linear vibration method is used in this study. The technique focuses on the response of the material’s resonance modes as a function of the driving amplitude by sweeping the frequency. The sandwich materials used in this study is constructed with glass fiber laminates as skins and with PVC closed-cell foams with density 60 and 100 kg m−3 as core. The response excitation of the shaker was established and the resonant frequencies and damping have been deducted for each frequency mode and each shear damage density.
