Détection par radar-sol d’une possible chambre inconnue sous la tombe du pharaon Seti 1ier (Vallée des Rois, Haute Egypte)
Résumé
A casual opportunity to achieve a very short G.P.R. survey (450 MHz) in the tomb of Seti l" was given to us. A very clear superficial anomaly was detected in a vestibule at a place where a strange resonance can be heard on the floor. This anomaly is not different from what is to be expected from the roof of a very close unknown underlying chamber. ln addition, sorne other interesting information was obtained. Despite the fact that wisdom must obviously be shown in such a case, it looks reasonnable to us that some very simple complementary tests should be undertaken in order to determine the origin of these anomalies. Obviously they would be of the highest interest if they could consolidate the hypothesis.
Une occasion fortuite de conduire une très courte investigation radar-sol (450 Mhz) dans la tombe de Séti 1 ... a permis de mettre en évidence, dans un vestibule où le sol présente une curieuse résonance sonore, une très nette anomalie superficielle, compatible avec l'existence possible du toit, très proche, d'une chambre sous-jacente inconnue. Quelques autres indications intéressantes ont été obtenues. Malgré toute la prudence dont il convient de faire preuve dans un tel cas, il nous semble raisonnable de suggérer que quelques contrôles complémentaires très simples, qui pourraient s ' avérer fructueux, soient conduits pour déterminer l'origine de ces anomalies et, éventuellement, consolider cette hypothèse.
