Open Access Resources in "Green Propulsion Research: a Scientometric Analysis based on Web of Science"

Spacecraft research is a significant research field in Science and Technology development and “Green Propulsion” has its importance as a sub domain which directs the Spacecraft Propulsion field to non-hazardous and tries to keep the environment clean. The paper attempts to scrutinize the results retrieved from Web of Science in this topic under Open Access category. Bibliometric techniques has been made to analyse the characteristics of the research output in Green Propulsion and the required data were downloaded from Web of Science from 2000 to 2014 (15 years). This study investigates the growth pattern, year-wise, institution-wise, country-wise distribution of articles. The authorship pattern and Degree of collaboration has been calculated. The prolific authors along with the H-index and the obtained citations have been tabulated. The fitness of Lotka’s law has been tested.
