A Discontinuous Galerkin Variational Multiscale Approach to LES of Turbulent Flows
Résumé
Three approaches to LES based on the DG method, namely, the no-model, the standard LES and the VMS approaches, are compared for two low-Mach-number configurations at high Reynolds number. The effect of the numerical flux function on the quality of the DG-LES solutions is also studied in the context of very coarse discretisations.
