The impact of the thermos-physical parameters of insulation on the energy performance of a building in Morocco

Résumé

In this work, we present the effect of the thermos-physical parameters of different thermal insulators on the energy performance of a typical Moroccan R+1 building in three different climates: Marrakech, Casablanca and Tangier. This has been achieved through dynamic thermal simulation (DTS) using TRNSYS software. The results show the positive impact of thermal insulation on the building's energy performance, allowing the building to comply with the RTCM and to reduce heating and cooling needs by up to 21.01%, 22.86% and 26.53% respectively in Casablanca, Marrakech and Tangier.
