Special issue: Eurotherm Seminar No. 110: Computational thermal radiation in participating media – VI
Résumé
This special issue of JQSRT is based on papers selected from the Eurotherm Seminar No. 110: Computational Thermal Radiation in Participating Media VI, which was held in Cascais, Portugal, from 11 to 13 April, 2018. This was the sixth seminar on this series aimed at the presentation of the state of the art and modern trends in computational thermal radiation in participating media, including new developments in solution methods for the solution of the radiative transfer equation, Monte Carlo method, turbulence-radiation interaction, radiative transfer in complex geometries and/or optically complex media, coupled heat transfer involving significant radiative effects, gas radiation modeling, radiative properties of particles and droplets, and radiative transfer in disperse systems. The previous Seminars were held in Mons, Belgium (No. 73, April 2003), Poitiers, France (No. 78, April 2006), Lisbon, Portugal (No. 83, April 2009), Nancy, France (No. 95, April 2012), and Albi, France (No. 105, April 2015).
