Formulación de una barbotina para producir cintas cerámicas ultradelgadas

Résumé

A barbotine design which viscoelastic behavior is optimal for “tape casting” of ceramic tapes based on BaTiO3 of 3 μm thickness is presented. It was proven that the elastic modulus of viscoelaticty is relevant over the final thickness of the tape. These tapes are commonly employed in the manufacture of multilayer ceramic capacitor, and it is considered in the industry that the minimum achievable thickness by means of “tape casting” is 3.5 μm, therefore the results of this work could be considered in these terms as ultrathin, It was found that the most suitable solvent is a mixture of toluene-ethanol, a graft ABn copolymer or phosphate ester as dispersants, and PVB of medium weight as agglutinant.
