Open Circuit Voltage of a Lithium ion Battery Model Adjusted by Data Fitting

Abstract : This paper study the Lithium-ion battery dynamic behaviour and proposes a function to describe the relationship between its Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) and the State Of charge (SOC). The effects of environment parameters on the battery behaviour are analyzed. The proposed OCV equation (model) is implemented using MATLAB/Simulink and SimPowerSystems software packages and it is compared with experimental measurements provided by the CALCE group [1].
