La carte mentale, un outil didactique d’aide à la mémorisation pour l’enseignement/apprentissage du lexique

Abstract : As noted by some didacticians, the teaching of the lexicon in the field of French for Specific Objectives (FOS) always raises a thorny problem. Our study focuses on teaching culinary lexicon to foreign learners. In order to solve this thorny problem, we propose in this article the mind map, which is very similar to brain function (mental lexicon). Before putting into practice the construction of the mind map for teaching, we must select the culinary lexicon that our learners need. For this reason, the discipline of corpus linguistics can offer a huge database and provide adequate techniques for carrying out certain necessary analyzes. At the end of this article, we concretize the construction of mind map in language class by taking the lexeme HACHÉ as a keyword from our corpus.
