Un recueil de Magnificat offert par Lassus à Charles IX (F-Pc, Rés F 853).

Abstract : The music manuscript F-Pc, Rés F 853, which contains huit magnificat by Roland de Lassus (well known fromoter sources), appears to have been a gift given by Lassus to the king Charles IX, when Lassus came in Paris in spring 1571. It is entitled "Magnificat venatoria" (with reference to the "Missae venatorum", these very short masses which were supposed to be sung by huntsmen) is an allusion to the king and his passion for hunting. It has been copied in the ducal chapel of Munich.
