ADC Required Resolution for Correct Demodulation of an Intra-Quantum Signal

Abstract : This paper discusses a new resolution requirement for Analog to Digital Converter in the case of the simultaneous reception of two signals with high power ratio. This issue was previously studied in the case of two single tone signals. This work is extended to the demodulation of digital communication signals and shows the dynamic range, and thus the required resolution, is enhanced by the presence of a strong signal carrying the weaker one and crossing the quantum level.
