Enquêter avec Jules 2.0. Théâtraliser l'enquête et un territoire

Our role as socio-anthropologists in the “Dronards” project was to accompany and observe how a team of artists was exploring and investigating an area under territorial restructuration. On the basis of their artistic productions, we describe how they were investigating this territory before trying to qualify their specific approach in a Goffmanian perspective. We aim to understand how this approach brought about unique modes of narration and self-presentation, and how these narratives can inform and/or challenge us. What is the particular contribution of Jules, the rover, to the investigation? What are the benefits of this theatrical approach? From the standpoint of socio-anthropology, how does this approach allow us to question both our methods and the territory itself?
Dans le projet des dronards, notre rôle de socio-anthropologues a consisté en un accompagnement et une observation de la façon dont l'équipe d'artistes explorait et enquêtait sur un terrain qui est aussi un territoire en reconversion. Nous décrivons cette manière d'enquêter à partir des matériaux produits par les artistes et tentons de la qualifier en adoptant un point de vue goffmanien. Il s'agit de voir en quoi ce dispositif encourage des formes de récit et de présentation de soi inédites, et en quoi ces narrations du réel nous informent et/ou nous questionnent. Que produit une enquête menée avec un rover et théâtralisée de la sorte ? Comment, de notre point de vue de socio-anthropologues, sont ici problématisés et le dispositif d'enquête et le territoire ?
