Une fibule ornée dans le « Style Plastique » à Villeneuve-la-Guyard (Yonne)

Abstract : For its morphology and its structure the Jewell belongs to the brooche family of a developped type of Münsingen. The special type of its decoration in mould bronze places its production during the first quarter of the 3rd century BC. The use of both bronze and iron in its decoration as well as the complexity of the spring is until now without equivalent. The semiological analysis of these decorations of « Style Plastique » reveals an original conception compared to the East Celtic production. The independance of this Western cultural type which could be qualified of Senon is confirmed through the various findings from the Seine mid basin.
