Maximal wind power penetration in radial MV networks
Résumé
The increment of Distributed Generation (DG), especially wind power, in distribution networks has motivated the development of methodologies to evaluate their limits and effect in the power system. The distribution network is already characterized by variable parameters such as: loads, line parameters; the interconnection of renewable energy sources adds more uncertainties in planning studies. In this paper, a new approach is applied in Load Flow (LF) and Short-Circuit studies based on Monte-Carlo simulation (MCS) which takes into account network uncertainties to determine the maximal wind power penetration and its dispersion in the network.
