Liquid compositions for the preparation of tannin-based thermosetting foams.

The invention relates to a liq. compn. for the prepn. of a tannin-based thermosetting foam, which contains a mixt. of at least one hydrolyzable tannin and at least one condensed tannin, lignin, water, a hardener and a surfactant. The total quantity of tannins in the compn. is between 8 and 60% by wt., and the quantity of lignin is between 4 and 30% by wt., with respect to the total wt. of the formulation. Said compn. makes it possible to prep. a foam, by curing, with advantageous mech. properties.
