Spectrogramme de polarisation pour l'analyse des signaux bivariés

Abstract : A novel approach towards time-frequency analysis of bivariate signals is proposed. Using a quaternion Fourier transform, we show that it is possible to extend usual time-frequency analysis to bivariate signals thanks to a completely new framework. In particular two new tools are presented: a bivariate counterpart of the analytic signal called quaternion embedding, and a time-frequency-polarization representation called polarization spectrogram. A synthetic example illustrates the relevance of the proposed approach.
