Terminology and Nomenclature: A Prerequisite or Nuisance for Polymer Science Education?

This paper gives personal observations on the current gulf between the use of polymer terminology and nomenclature in education and literature and the recommendations of the IUPAC Subcommittee on Polymer Terminology (SPT).
