Food retailing evolutions and regional planning in Comminges and Barousse
Restructuration du commerce alimentaire et aménagement du territoire en Comminges et Barousse
Résumé
Relationships between food retailing and rural areas know important evolutions, in particular because of the strong expansion of hypermarkets and, at the same time, because of the massive disappearance of small shops. The case of Comminges and Barousse allows to reveal the renewal of the logics of location of the shops, the links between the redeployment of food retailing and the evolution of practices of purchase, and finally the resulting stakes in regional planning.
