[Since the major demographic process of the 21st century is the aging of the population, it is not surprising that France does not escape. However, it is experiencing a specific rhythm of aging due to the way the four causes of aging are combined in France. This examination allows us to present some perspectives.]

Puisque le processus démographique majeur du XXIe siècle est le vieillissement de la population, il n'est pas étonnant que la France n'y échappe pas. Toutefois, elle connaît un rythme spécifique de vieillissement dû à la façon dont se combinent sur l’Hexagone les quatre causes du vieillissement. Cet examen permet de présenter quelques perspectives.
