Caractérisation du comportement à l'interface entre un matériau agrégataire et un acier sous forte pression et à grande vitesse

Abstract : A test is developed to study the interface behavior between an energetic material and steel. This work focuses on high pressure (10-100 MPa) and high sliding velocities (10-100 m/s). The experimental setup consists in a cylindrical specimen made of the energetic material which slips in a confinement vessel made of steel. An axial stress is applied to the specimen. It results a normal pressure at the interface. Thanks to confinement, the energetic material can be tested under high stresses without yielding it. The Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar device is used to obtain high sliding velocities. Measurements make it possible to determine the frictional interface behavior.
