Hommage de Sarah Duché. Un dernier article ensemble

Abstract : Spatio-temporal variabilities of PM10 concentration in Paris and Rhône-Alpes areas (France). During my PhD, spatial and temporal variability studies of air pollution in the Paris region using principal component analysis (PCA) has been the subject of numerous discussions with Gérard Beltrando, director of my thesis. The continuity of our scientific discussions is presented here by comparing the results of two PCA: the first on the mean daily concentration of PM10 measured in 8 stations in the Ile-de-France region (Paris area) and the second on concentration measured in 22 stations in the Rhône-Alpes region (south-east of France) from the 1st January 2007 to the 31 December 2016. In the Parisian area, the spatial and temporal variability of particles is mainly due to emission sources variations. In the Rhône-Alpes area, the relief, the different emission sources and the various agglomerations of the region influence spatial distributions of particle levels according to the days, seasons and types of weather.
