« L’avocat militant » au prisme des traces politique et professionnelle

Abstract : The judicial trade unionism, born in the end of 1960s and at the beginning of the next decade, is still badly known. The movements or the collectives of professionals of the law, listed under the term of “ judicial and legal left “, are nevertheless many to emerge during this period : the Syndicat de la Magistrature, l’Hôtel d’Ornano around Henri Leclerc, the Mouvement d’Action Judiciaire, the Syndicat des Avocats de France (SAF). This article on SAF returns, at first, on its foundation by communist lawyers. It attempts, secondly, to identify the various militant generations which joined the Labor union and, by taking into account their professional practices, to seize the plurality of the ways of being and to think “cause lawyer”.
