Phase offset estimation of SOQPSK waveform by the analysis of the angle distribution

In this paper, the problem of phase synchronization is investigated for the shaped offset quadrature phase shift
keying (SOQPSK) waveform, a highly bandwidth-efficient modulation. We propose a phase offset estimation algorithm
based on the angle distribution analysis of the signal. Simulation results show that the algorithm is capable of correcting large
phase offsets in the presence of high noise level even with using a short pilot sequence
