Abstract : This paper presents a topological data analysis framework based on persistent homology and Morse complexes for the visualization and analysis of ensemble data-sets representing viscous fingers. Our approach quantitatively corroborates the classical description of viscous fingers. A systematic analysis across several data resolutions indicates converging statistics as the resolution increases.
