Otimizando Requisições de Conteúdo em Redes Par-a-Par Sobre Redes Ad Hoc

Abstract : Peer-to-peer (P2P) networks are used for data sharing on mobile adhoc networks (MANETs) due to their decentralized nature and high tolerance to failures. However, previous work showed that P2P networks do not perform well on MANETs. Structured P2P networks have a high level of unsuccessful queries due to the message drops, while in unstructured networks the high number of messages saturates the network. This work discusses modifications on both P2P approaches in order to increase their performance on MANETs. Simulation results show that, in unstructured approaches, it’s possible to reduce the average energy consumption up to 32% and delay up to 36%. In strucutred approaches, it’s possible to double the success ratio.
