Two time scales of the electron-hole spin relaxation in InAs/GaAS quantum dots

Résumé

We have performed time-resolved differential transmission on an ensemble of InAs/GaAs self-assembled quantum dots. We have calculated the polarization rate decay, on which two time scales in the electron-hole spin relaxation dynamics are observed. A study versus the energy of the interband transition reveals that the fast spin relaxation becomes important when excited and mixed states are involved. (C) 2006 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
