Predictable behavior of organic photovoltaic cells by Kelvin probe force microscopy
Résumé
We investigate a new way to access to the open circuit voltage (Voc) of organic
photovoltaic (OPV) cells: the Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM). KPFM is a
powerful technique, allowing mapping the surface potential above any surface together
with the topography of the surface. We first show that KPFM measurements coincide
with the direct measurements of Voc. We then demonstrate KPFM as a valuable
technique to predict the quality, and particularly the durability and aging, of OPV cells.
