Comparison of regularized phase retrieval algorithms for x-ray phase contrast tomography - application on experimental data

Résumé

In this work, different regularization methods were applied to phase retrieval in phase contrast micro-tomography of Skelite scaffolds seeded with bone forming cells. The use of phase tomography allows the quantification of both mineralized and soft tissue, unlike with classical X-ray micro-computed tomography (μCT). Further, the application of a priori terms that allow for heterogeneous objects enabled the quantification cells trapped in the pre-bone matrix.
