This article results from a conference held by Clélia Barbut within the scope of the international meeting “Reality(ies), Fiction and Utopia in the Art of France, West Germany, East Germany and Poland between 1960 and 1989” [http://www.own-reality.org/en/research/international-meeting] organised on 11, 12 and 13 April 2013 at the German Center of Art History in Paris. It was written in French and translated into English.
