Frontières, intersectionalité et catégorisations d'humains

Abstract : Intersectionality quantifies over social categories and takes from the vocabulary of a static group geometry, falling short at capturing human individual dynamic experiences of categorial assignations. I propose to think of the category as the result of what power really creates and defends: the frontiers between human groups. Intersectionality is among the properties of these frontiers. I show how the notion of frontier dwells on the concrete individual knowledge of geopolitical borders (localisation, crossings, resistances, clandestinity).
