Intelligent Ordered XPath for Processing Data Streams

Abstract Data Streaming is a necessary and useful technique to process very large XML documents but poses serious algorithmic problems, various approaches and algorithms were implemented to fulfill this purpose. In this article we highlight and categorize the different important works in this domain. Furthermore, we present the critical parameters which affect the complexity of the streaming algorithms accompanied with examples. In the end, we propose a new approach for processing XML data streams using intelligent Ordered XPath that account for these critical parameters .
