Comparaison expérimentale de l'absorption d'énergie lors d'impact sur plusieurs structures mousse-composite renforcées

Abstract : Starting from a foam structure wrapped with three layers of woven composite, several structures are obtained by means of continuous (internal composite layers) a/o discrete reinforcements (stitching) and are tested by dynamic crushing loading. The structures have the same external shape and the same number of external layers. During weight drop tower tests, a force sensor and a fast camera are used to get the force-displacement plots and the energy absorbed. Analysis of camera pictures also brings a deep understanding of the damage mechanisms inside the samples.
