A New Decode Rotate and Forward Strategy for Cooperative Relay Networks
Résumé
We propose a new relaying strategy, called decode-rotate-and-forward for wireless relay networks. We consider a scenario where a source communi- cates with a destination with the help of a relay. The source and the relay are allowed to transmit simultaneously. The relay decodes the information from the source and re-encodes it to generate some extra redundancy which is transmitted after a rotated modulation of angle prior to forwarding. This rotation allows at separating the source and the relay signals by using a simple joint demodulator of higher order at the destination. The novel distributed coding-modulation scheme achieves significant performance gains with respect to the non-cooperation system in terms of error rate. More- over, it achieves higher spectral efficiency compared to schemes where the transmission time is shared between the source and the relay.
